In 2015, several young families moved to East Meadow, Long Island with the dream of building a new Torah community in the heart of Nassau County. In close to six years, this dream has become a beautiful reality. The Kehilla of East Meadow continues to attract couples and families who are eager to join this warm, growth-oriented, close-knit community of Bnei Torah. The Kehilla has already marked several significant milestones, with the creation of an eruv, the establishment and renovation of Shaarei Zedek of East Meadow, the appointment of Rabbi and Rebbetzin Moshe Winter, and its relationship with the JFI, which set up an Outreach Center and Community Preschool. There is a full schedule of shiurim, additional learning opportunities, and minyanim throughout the week.
Now, you can have an opportunity to share in the excitement and contribute to the development of the Kehilla. A Sefer Torah is being completed in memory of Sara bas Yitzhak and will be the first Sefer Torah dedicated to Shaarei Zedek of East Meadow. You can take part in this mitzvah, dedicating part of the Torah in honor of a special occasion or special person, or in honor of a loved one. This Torah will be used on a consistent basis, and your support will also enable the shul and community to enhance and expand its infrastructure.
Thank you for your generous support!
